Guy Vandenbranden
Info
Guy Vandenbranden (Brussels °1926 - Antwerp °2014) was a geometrically abstract, medially versatile artist. After his break with figurativism in 1951, he worked on perfecting his constructivist visual language, working in a range of disciplines from sculpture to optical art and stained glass. Throughout his experiments with relief and assemblage, his strong suit remained his precise lines and perspective-warping shapes. A member of multiple art groups and collectives, including Art Abstrait, Art Construit and the Nieuwe Vlaamse School, Vandenbranden's work can be found in multiple Belgian museums, including Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Ixelles and Ostend.
