Laurenz Coninx (Wilrijk °1986) is a young Belgian painter from Mechelen. With a Kodak in his back pocket, he captures moments in his daily life, from a still life of a flower bouquet, to his friends throwing a party outside. After developing the pictures, Laurenz has his source of inspiration and transfers it to a canvas with an intense focus on the composition.

The paintings are mainly executed with oil on canvas. But in his search of the perfect harmony and contrast between finished and unfinished, Laurenz uses pastel in the unfinished parts. This technique results in a unique personal style with a cheerful and happy flair.
