Louis Van Lint (Brussels °1909 - Kraainem °1986) had education at the "Académie des beaux arts de Saint-Josse-ten-Noode". In his early figurative period, Van Lint painted expressionist works, yet already not afraid to use his unique sense for color. It is only post war, Van Lint started to flourish and became one of the most important representatives of the Belgian lyrical abstract movement.
