Renée Demeester (Bibanga, Belgian Congo °1927) is a Belgian painter and draughtswoman working with a range of media from paper to fresco, always in geometrical abstraction. A recurrent theme in the autodidact's oeuvre is the dynamism of the human environment. Her works show imaginary bridges, endless roads and aerodynamic constructions. Demeester's works have been acquired by the Belgian State and are shown at the Print Cabinet in Brussels and the Museum of Ixelles.
